Just one nice, slow glass of it after the day has finally stopped throwing punches. You pour it, sit down somewhere quiet close to a fire place or all alone in a room and
take a slow sip, and feel the gentle warmth spread through your chest while the noise in your head finally starts to fade. The stress from traffic, work, or whatever else world threw at you loosens its grip a little.

No big ceremony, no fancy speech just that small, steady burn from that amber colored whiskey that makes everything feel a bit softer, and later helps you fall into real sleep instead of staring at the ceiling. I love doing this.

Only downside is that my cortisol skyrockets the next day after the alcohol fully leaves my system.

I don't care for no alcohol really. And when I did used to drink I could never just sip it.

Do you think itโ€™s affecting you? Like you need alcohol to feel like you will need it to take the edge off?

I don't have it everyday. I know if I did it daily I'll end up on the streets. I already was this close to becoming an alcoholic but sometimes it's good to unwind and stuff you know.

Yes be careful with the alcohol. It will take over your life in a very unexpected way. I used to drink out of a liter bottle of vodka (Titoโ€™s) and chase it with a corona.

Then started finishing 1.75L of vodka in a day. And then under a day..

Was a very dark time for me.

Damn. Sounds exactly like my uncle. He had a lot of problems with alcohol but one day just decided he was going to change for his wife and kids and has been sober for many years. I don't recommend going cold turkey tho. Withdrawals are extremely brutal.
