One thing I’ve noticed about this forum and online spaces in general

Many people are incapable of ANY sort of comprehension regarding statement qualifiers or nuanced thinking

Basic example

A: “Yea aging sucks and no one can outrun it forever, but there’s some proven things you can do to delay the agepill”

B: “LMAOOOO bro thinks he’s not unc, news flash buddy IT’S OVER you are delusional ur gonna age jfl”

Then A gets DNRd for reps or a couple JFLs then B get’s repped to the stratosphere

I’ve seen this phenomenon apply to any topic you can image that gets discussed

Not always, and obv not counting shitposts n such, but often enough it pmo

Messages are like objects that you throw into the waters of the web in which we swim. If you don't make an effort to gaze a little deeper into the ocean then the only things you will find are the things that float to the surface. dnrds, slurs, cringey Ramirez edits, etc.

Those nuanced statements are necessarily heavier with information, more dense you could say, which means they sink like stones. Only the people who are willing to explore a little deeper beneath the surface can find and appreciate them.
