Around one year ago I started taking finasteride with dosage of 1 mg per day.

Counting just hairloss I am definitely happy with the results - my hairline is very similar to what I had one year ago and there may actually have been a bit of regrowth (I am also using minox though).
Also no problems with erections occurred and that possible side effect was my biggest worry before taking fin.
That being said I felt some other side effects while on it:
my sex drive after taking fin was noticeably lower and I got much more calm and less aggressive.
While at the beginning I didn't give a shit about this with time it was more and more bothersome.
Basically at some moment it got to a point where I had no motivation to do anything and no matter if something good or shitty was happening I hadn't felt anything at all.
I don't know if this is due to finasteride but I am sure that this is not nocebo as this was ongoing for few months and I only noticed possible relation to finasteride as last month I have seen this study:
And mention "Reduces the Response to Both Stressful and Rewarding Stimuli" perfectly described what I felt was happening with me.

It could be unrelated but I still think it's worth mentioning as shit was terrible and I never felt like that before in my life.

At this moment I am 1 month off fin and I actually feel a bit better, definitely more aggressive and with better drive/motivation.
If the symptoms I described earlier will come back then I will definitely hop on fin again, other way I will probably just do hair transplant.

i'm on fin for 5 months, literally 0 libido&erection problems.
first 2 months i got watery semen, that's it.
Just because you don't have a certain side effects, doesn't mean that its not common or others don't get it

maybe you feeling numb is due to being a blackpilled rotter on a looksmaxing forum and not because of fin

and vice versa.

i'm just stating my sides because i was at fearmongering team, i remember i was saying "there is NO way you cannot feel seuxally diminished with that drug" but yet again, no sides for me.

I'm inching closer to my 3rd month of usage. I noticed decreased libido and weaker erections in my first month of use - tbh it was more of a nocebo effect than actual side effect. My libido is back to normal now. Hopefully, I don't experience any side effects later on. Also, my hair thinning hair is growing back; because I combine Fin with Min, I don't know which of the drugs is responsible for that.

im on finasteride and oral minox to keep my nw0. no side effects. to be extra safe can I switch fin to duta while injecting test? @wannabenormie @Deusmaximus

It is never good to base your opinion about something on one study.

1. Did they mention the age of the rats? If they started taking it at birth no doubt it will have sides.

2. Also, can a study on rats really be extended to humans?

My worldview hadn't changed this year, I am also rotting less than earlier.

I agree, that's why I highlighted in my post that I don't know whether this is related to finasteride.
That being said reduction of stimuli from both reward and strestful situations is exactly how I would describe my condition from some time ago and before taking finasteride it never happened to me (at least to the extreme degree from this year).
I am giving myself some time and if in few months my condition won't improve then I am going back on fin, otherwise I think it is not worth it.
