One zygo swells and hurts much more than the other when bonesmashing. Is this normal?

I’ve noticed that whenever I bonesmash my zygos, one side always seems to swell up much faster and hurts more than the other, even when I’m using what feels like the exact same amount of pressure on both sides.

I’m wondering if this could be caused by habits like sleeping on one side, chewing more on one side, facial asymmetry, or something else. The bone itself doesn’t feel different, but one side is definitely more sensitive and inflamed afterward.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any explanation for why one side reacts differently than the other?
