What’re your guys’ thoughts on online dating without both parties seeing each other’s faces? I find the psychological aspect of it interesting because a romantic relationship should intrinsically exist between physical attraction from man and woman first then shared interests and goals second. I have been dating this girl I met online and she’s only dating me because, and I quote “I liked you because you’re funny”. For serious long distance relationships I suspect that women only online date long term for monetary or traveling reasons and for short term it’s more of a game/playful relationship for them because they aren’t emotionally attached to your face or at least your voice.

For it to not be a complete waste of time, you have to see each other's faces, because if they are unfavourable then you are delaying an inevitable of not staying with that person when you realise the physical attraction isn't there

I have a positive opinion on that, if it's actually "serious" and not some 2 week discord shit. Doing that atleast ensures that the personalities match, however at some point looks should be exchanged.
