Most rapes are actually "date rapes", incest cases, opportunistic events like girls who drink too much at a party and someone takes advantage of them, or they end up alone with a classmate/work colleague/acquaintance due to some circumstance and the guy profits from this, etc...
Very few rapes are committed by unknown persons and using violence/weapons, like during a random attack on the street at night, a home invasion, robbery, etc. - these are the cases that are usually reported.
