Can’t cope with it, the thought of winter approaching is making me depressed

Cold weather was invented by incels as a revenge against people who like doing outdoor activities :feelswah:

Only shit thing about winter is short daytime and wind. Even here in mediterranean its already dark at 4pm in december which is too early. I do like colder weather, during summer its impossible to walk outside due to heat and you have to spend all day in air conditioned environment otherwise you can barely live. During winter its always raining and often there are strong winds which reveal my adequately hidden NW3, i truly hate winds and have a strong dislike for winter because of that

Same, also the trees look ugly, without leaves, and mud everywhere, and that disgusting looking frozen ground every morning, and the shit day cycle, legit night by 4:30pm, its suicidefuel for studying. I can only study well when its day time, when night falls its gg.

Winter is actually a pretty good season if you spend it on the alps with your girlfriend in a cottage, go to saunas and spas, go skiing, hiking, basically there needs to be the winter aesthetic. But Europe post 2000 has no snow, at least in Balkans and it looks disgusting, at least snow added character to winter

(Also i cope with summer lasting until 20th September:feelscry: )

The problem isn’t winter tbh, it’s mid January to middle/end March (depending on where you are from ofc)

Fall is nice, the colours are cool and its not too cold out , plus you can wear “fall clothing” which is the best kind of clothing imo. Everyone gets into Halloween spirit too. The buildup to Christmas that kind of starts in November is nice as well, especially in Demeber when you reach peak :Comfy: feeling as Christmas lights are everywhere and everyone is in the Christmas spirit, and just walking down the street feels like you are in some winter wonderland. I think the worst part of Winter is that time frame after New Years and before spring begins, where it just seems to be freezing 24/7, and the snow has changed color to gray/brown cause of all the salt/sand in it and there’s no sun and it’s just kind of miserable and dark all around. It’s nice when the first signs of spring start coming around though as you start getting ready for the enjoyable summer months

The festive season buildup to Christmas is really nice, I really like festive markets where I can grab mulled wine with girls :Comfy: New Year is also good because of partying but the rest of the winter is just plain horrible :feelswhat: I cannot name a single good thing about the january / february period , except maybe skying but thats also just escapism :feelsbadman:

Last summer I was already an instructor too so I of course I was tasked with helping freshmen with their problems… I was thinking they’d come to me to ask about locations of offices on the campus, deadlines… serious stuff

But instead guys just kept me asking for my gym routine and diet plan :Comfy: ofc I was happy to help them in that regard too lol

I'll really miss it too. Getting in as much time at the beach as possible. Though I've always liked the fall as well. I've had a really good summer this year.

Problem with "fall" is that it only really lasts from 20th September until like 1st November max, i consider November to be pretty much mild winter, too cloudy and rainy

It’s like that here as well. Instead of the four seasons being equal in length, it feels like the majority of the year is becoming either hot summer or cold winter, with very short transitioning period between the two extremes. My elders say it werent like this back in their time :feelsbadman:

Yes this is very legit. Technically i remember some memories from 2004-2005 when i was a small kid, autumn hit different, like trees started getting that golden yellow color by end of September but the difference is they didn't fall as fast, like they stayed on the tree until somewhere around November, and it also wasn't cloudy like now, October would be sunny like, with mild sun and a slighty cold breeze. And don't forget about winters, by end of November all the way until March there would be huge amounts of snow everywhere, all the 3 months straight.

Now on the other hand, it just seems like winter starts by 1st November and lasts until April (March is pretty much winter tbh, calendary but also in feeling)

True, but surely there are "nice" moments. Even if its wet and windy like you mentioned, its a part of the overall fall vibe, plus its pretty nostalgic tbh like trick or treating with friends on a cold rainy night, not a care in the world

The good thing about autumn (fall) is Halloween and the leadup to Christmas. Stores and supermarkets get so comfy and themed.

March is shit, in fact worse then February alot. For some reason there are always more sunny days in February even if its cold af compared to March and April. Half of March and April is fucking rain, wind and clouds.

February here usually is sunny and frosty. Spring feels like an extended winter.

Yeah same here, its wierd. Like people get this relief when February comes cause for some reason its quite a sunny month so they think "oh winter has ending here comes spring" and then March comes and slightly less frosty then February but its more dark, like cloudy alot.

I remember when i was a really small kid this wasn't the case at all, seasons were much more stereotypical, like December, January, February were rarely too sunny, they would be always super snowy, then March would always be muddy but in a beautiful way, like finally that 3 month snow has melted and the first flowers have emerged from the ground. Then April was hotter then its today, like it would be constantly in the 20-28 degrees range.

Seasons were just much more stereotypical

I remember it was always like that in the early 2000s growing up.
Times have changed a lot. I remember driving to my uni town from the South to up North on a very hot, sunny day with 90s underground hip hop blasting from the car. What day was it? SEPTEMBER 19TH.
Then this nigga fucked up everything 2 days later, and the weather stayed like that for the remaining of the autumn/early winter:

I noticed this too, for the past decade or so it’s been snowing very late into the year, like march / april :feelswhat: early meterological spring feels like just a second chapter of winter with slightly longer days
