Because america sits at the center of the universe as the most international and important country on the planet, and because we had to reject our European roots and start our own culture, america is forced to see the world from a holistic point of view
Every other part of the world sees only their little bubble, that’s why middle easterners hate their neighbors so much, Asians hate other asians, and Latinos hate other Latinos, when to america they are just bomb targets, iPhones, and invaders respectively

The greatest nation in the world could surely devise a new language.

English is old AF. Old English sounds closer to Scandinavian languages than modern English. The Vikings brought “it”(not full explanation) to Britain and even visited North America in 900 AD.

Yes I speak many Germanic languages and don’t deny it. And I hate the Krauts as much as the next guy.

Then Brits evolved the language to something like the English we know today. And about 600 years after the Vikings they had the courage to cross the rough seas and started settling in the americas.

I cannot fathom where the arrogance of Americans come from.
