⚠️ MEDICAL DISCLAIMER & SAFETY NOTICE ⚠️

1. For Educational Purposes Only: This guide is a summary of personal research and clinical studies. It is not medical advice.
2. Professional Injection Required: HA fillers are medical-grade devices. Self-injection carries extreme risks, including vascular occlusion (blindness/tissue necrosis), infection, and permanent scarring. Always seek a licensed, board-certified professional.
3. Individual Variation: Rheology metrics (G', Cohesivity) are benchmarks, but your anatomy, metabolism, and the injector's technique will determine the final result.
4. Brand Sensitivity: Always check for product authenticity and your own allergies to HA or Lidocaine before use.

Ha filler Rheology
Pre thread vocab:

G*:
a measure of the overall viscoelastic properties,

G′:
a measure of the elastic properties

G″:
a measure of the viscous properties

tan δ:
tan delta, a measure of the ratio of the elastic to viscous properties

Gel cohesivity:
“Gel cohesion (also called cohesivity) represents the adhesion forces within the gel and characterizes how a filler behaves as a gel deposit once injected”

Water uptake:
“Water uptake (or swelling factor) is a measure of the ability of the HA gel to swell from water uptake and is a function of both HA concentration and degree of crosslinking.”

HA Concentration (mg/mL):

“This measure is the total amount of HA found in the filler, comprising both insoluble crosslinked HA and the soluble HA mostly derived from noncrosslinked HA added to facilitate the passing of the gel through a needle.”

How to choose filler based on metrics in this guide
Now now then boyos, let's get to the fun stuff now that yall read the “pre thread vocab”

Types of fillers you want for each area:
Lips:

For lips you want a low to medium G’, low cohesivity, and low water uptake ( For natural results), If you ngas want projection/volumization choose a filler that has medium to high cohesivity.
1777031780172

Lower face:
Medium to high G’and low to medium cohesivity. This combo will look natural in the mid face as its a mobile area. Water intake, medium to high you want a lil plush look. Medium you can get away with some bloat ig, it kind helps smooth it a lil.
1777031780180

Upper face:
temporal fossa:
High G’ for temporal fossa with medium to high cohesity for filling and volume restoration. Water intake medium as to much swelling and you will look uncanny like a balloon

Forehead:
Medium to High G’ for forehead contour, with low to medium cohesivity for molding and some degree of spreading Medium water intake too much and you'll look like a bloated.
1777031780187

Mid face:
Infraorbital area/ tear troughs:
Low to medium G’ and low cohesivity so its spreadable to prevent over correction, lumps, bumps. Very low water intake!!! Boyo if you have anything above this enjoy having puffy eye bags jfl.

Zygomatic and submalar areas:
Medium to high G’ to resist shearing, and medium to high cohesivity to resist compression and maintain projection. Low to medium water intake you dont want to much, again the uncanny balloon look if it gets to high. Low water intake, the lower the better you want a lean look.
1777031780194

Nose, Jawline, and Chin:
High G’ and medium to high cohesivity to enhance contour and provide structure ( This has a high resistance to deformation and high lift capacity )
1777031780210

Water intake note:
The swelling factor/ water intake rule of thumb boyos:
Higher cross link/ G’= lower water intake

High Ha concentration ( more then 24mg per ml )= high water intake

Biphasic= lower swelling

Monophasic= Higher swelling

Table - PMC
1777031780217

1777031780224

Note:
When going to purchase you may see things named crosslink, ha chain length, ha concentration, cross linking patterns, degree of modification (MoD), particle size/gel calibration. These are only the root causes to the metrics above. You don't have to worry about this stuff. ( unless for some reason u have to infer without final metrics like these using only the root cause info)

Note on filler water intake:
“Cohesive products are further away from their equilibrium of swelling and therefore, possess a greater propensity for swelling. It is important to note that the swelling factor of a gel is not synonymous with tissue swelling, which is a result of trauma caused by the injection procedure.”
1777031780230

Mid face:
Chaeum premium no.1, or Neuramis light

Zygomatic and submalar areas:
Revolax sub Q, or Elravie ultra volume

a measure of the viscous properties

tan δ:
tan delta, a measure of the ratio of the elastic to viscous properties

Lower face:
Medium to high G’and low to medium cohesivity. This combo will look natural in the mid face as its a mobile area. Water intake, medium to high you want a lil plush look. Medium you can get away with some bloat ig, it kind helps smooth it a lil.

Upper face:
temporal fossa:
High G’ for temporal fossa with medium to high cohesity for filling and volume restoration. Water intake medium as to much swelling and you will look uncanny like a balloon

Forehead:
Medium to High G’ for forehead contour, with low to medium cohesivity for molding and some degree of spreading Medium water intake too much and you'll look like a bloated.

Nose, Jawline, and Chin:
High G’ and medium to high cohesivity to enhance contour and provide structure ( This has a high resistance to deformation and high lift capacity )

Water intake note:
The swelling factor/ water intake rule of thumb boyos:
Higher cross link/ G’= lower water intake

High Ha concentration ( more then 24mg per ml )= high water intake

Biphasic= lower swelling

Monophasic= Higher swelling
