I hate that opening up to people and being more personally intimate is the only way I can actually make friends, because I’ve basically shielded my personality from people 7th grade to graduating highschool like damn I have to relearn to interact with the world

I have trouble being my authentic self and instead using a fake personality that most people would like, but recently I was more honest with others and even trusted them with personal problems in my life.

tldr I would censor things about me that didn’t need to be censored, like what video games I played or music I listened to.

I think it’s because of my mom trying to change who I was throughout my entire childhood but that’s a who rabbit hole I know you don’t want to hear
