Opinion on Midwest emo?

Lately I've been listening to midwest emo since my friend put me on and i actually really like it. My fav bands are Modern Baseball, Merchant ships and breathingtechniques. Tbh the music itself isn't good (obv) like the vocals are insanely bad and whiney but that adds to the emotion. Yeah i just want to find the community icl this is a shit post

I don't like those newgen midwest emo bands, too much screaming, not enough feels. I prefer bands like American Football, Mineral, Sunny Day Real Estate, etc. I don't really listen to it anymore but I listened to that mainly.
