There is no need to switch.
MT1 is more selective but has lower affinity for the MC1R than MT2.
You just take a higher dose of MT1 to compensate for this lower affinity and you don't have to deal with sides.
Waste of money. There is no other difference.

since you seem literate is it true that mt1 actually gives a different visual tan vs mt2 in terms of depth and color, I see mixed opinions on this

In layman's terms, MT1 is not as strong but doesn't come with the side effects.
So you compensate by just pinning a higher dose of MT1 with zero sides.
That's why MT1 is better.

ok I thought so, only reason I did the switch was because I was accidentally shipped both mt2 and mt1 (I only ordered mt1) so my idea was get a quick tan with mt2 (because it’s stronger) then switch to mt1 and maintain darkness purely because it would work faster, although if they’re actually pretty much the same when you increase mt1 dose then there's no point I see.

Less sun damage on your skin for the same tan.
