Opinions on wisdom teeth removal

Just turned 19 and I can feel my wisdom teeth actually growing now and see them. They appear to be coming in straight but I often find my cheek hurting from my wisdom teeth sort of biting it after I wake up. Confused how they’re straight as I needed braces and still use my retainer, but what’s the memo about them on the forum. Should people get them removed or keep them in?
