Imo an optimal diet consist of a good balance of red and white meat for protein, more red at younger ages more white for older people, whole grains such as minimally processed wheat products (like bulgur for example) to supply carbs, never bread or pasta and ideally not rice, fish occasionally to support brain function with omega-3, fruits and vegetables for vitamins (but no salad leaves), dairy (raw milk is ideal but only if you can get it really fresh, don’t buy it from supermarkets. If you can’t get it fresh get pasteurised milk), nuts.

As if red meat doesn’t have protein lol, chicken is an opportunity cost as it is far inferior nutrition wise to red meat

Well yeah I did say more red is better until you’re middle aged, its just older people tend to have issues with cholesterol because their metabolism gets worse at processing it, and red meat is a source of cholesterol

For people with well-functioning metabolisms, it’s just a lot of people lead sedentary lifestyles and as a result their metabolism gets worse with age
