OPTIMAL REP AND SET RANGE

So i have been looking so many bullshit on insta about rep and sets some people are saying 3x 15 is bullshit while some are saying its good
Some are saying 2x close to failure
Currently im doing 2 set of 6-8 with increase weight.
My main goal is muscle toning and building what's the optimal set and rep range for y'all that help to build muscles like crazy without any junk volume.
 
2-3 sets of 6-10 reps with 0-1 RIR is optimal
 
yep, wish I didn't waste my time in the gym with 3x15 bullshit

0 RIR is not failure btw, it means the next rep you do would be failure

Yea i stop doing 3x15 my gym trainer always tell me to do but i stopped listening to him now

So basically i should do high weight low reps with one rep in reserve right?
