Recently i got a subscription for finasteride at 18 because i noticed my hair has started to become thinner over the past year to the point i can see my scalp easily, but idk if i should start finasteride at 18 and catch the hair loss early because it might reduce my facial bone mass and destroy my face.

So I used to actually believe that DHT had a significant role in bone mass development, I was corrected, I reviewed the scientific literature, and it really doesn't. Other androgens actually have that function, DHT is almost irrelevant for bone mass, and all finasteride does is down regulating 5-alpha-reductase which turns testosterone into DHT.

You will not destroy your face with finasteride because your other androgens are fine. Don't go bald, sacrifice DHT.

DHT hater here. Hopped on pharma proscribed fin as a 18 year old and I promise it isn’t going to nuke your bone growth. DHT is not as effective for bone growth as TikTok normies claim.
