i wanna hop on minoxidil but I’ve heard some guys say it made them bloated. Did anyone also have the same experience as them? How bad was it and did it stay like that all the time while on minoxidil.

My hair loss aint bad tho i wanna take it for beard growth
Just take it I’m sure the bloat would be minimal. I’m guessing the bloat would be a result of heightened blood pressure so just take some berbirine along with it

Anyone who says no is a fucking retard. You will 100% bloat from minoxidil without question because the hyperpolarization induces an increase in sodium retention through increased aldosterone biosynthesis in order to reduce intracellular potassium. It’s a known fact about minoxidil.

I use 5% topical minoxidil, sprayed it twice a day on the eyebrows. Just enough to stimulate eyebrow hair growth. It didn’t cause any bloating for me at all.

Initially thought it did cause facial bloating, but my face didn’t get much leaner when I hopped off and waited for a few weeks. It was just regular bloat afterall.

I’ve been using it for around 6 months now.
Eye area has ascended tremendously and its been worth it. Literal night and day difference.

Of course it's gonna cause water retention. Minoxidil is a potassium channel opener. Increasing potassium and loop diuretics can help, but the latter may be dangerous. I don't recommend oral minoxidil. Topical without propylene glycol or BHT is much safer.

I just checked and my minoxidil source has propylene glycol

What is so bad about propylene glycol? Opinions are mixed on whether it is harmful or not, its in a lot of cosmetic products.

Most products do. You can request a personalized formulation without PG at your local pharmacy or, if you're located in Europe, order Regaxidil 5% from Spain.

What’s so bad about the alcohol? Couldn’t you just moisturize to counteract the alcohol ?
