Oral minoxidil for lashes

I'm 16 male and thought about getting oral minoxidil to grow out my lashes and I wanted to know what experiences have you guys had and should I get it if my lashes are really light and not that visible would that help or would it just grow them longer and do nothing with the color, if that's the case what could I get in adition to the minoxidil to darken my lashes, I have tried mascara but either I applyed it wrong or it was a bad one becouse it just got really sticky and there were chunks of it on my lashes. Please tell me what should I know about it.
