Oral minoxidil

Has anybody tried oral minoxidil long term I don't care that it grows hair in unwanted places but my research says that it can have some risks so I was wondering has anyone tried it and is there really that much difference and risks?

Yes , the risk is low but over prolonged use over multiple years it can have an effect on your heart albeit minimal , but this can be combated via getting an ECG scan every 3-5 years just to check your heart health. Oral Minoxidil was initially used as a vasodilator , which can strain the heart , you can easily switch to topical, all though more effort-some and annoying but has almost the same efficacy.
