No, it’s not cope — quite the opposite. Oral minoxidil is very potent at stimulating hair growth and keeping your hair in the anagen phase longer. Some people have lower sulfotransferase activity in the scalp, and most of this enzyme is located in the liver. That’s why oral minoxidil is also more potent. The exact mechanism of action is not yet fully understood, but the opening of KATP potassium channels likely leads to vasodilation.

Well, it depends, but honestly I don’t think so. There’s a reason why Regaine (the topical form of minoxidil) was introduced in the first place. Minoxidil was actually a pretty bad blood pressure medication, even though the low-dose approaches against AGA looked promising in some studies.

First, you need to find out whether you actually have androgenetic hair loss or a different diagnosis. The best thing to do is see a dermatologist — that’s the medical specialty that should know about these things (emphasis on should).

In the end, you really only have two good options (maybe three or four): a DHT blocker after puberty — at the earliest from age 18 — and minoxidil (possibly combined with microneedling). Ketoconazole shampoo can also be helpful as well (a 2% solution).

what dose strength would u recommend between 2.5, 5 or 10 mg

Honestly consult a dermatologist cuz I cant really see what's the actualy problem but ig 2.5 or 5 mg
If you have serious hairfalling and thinning and whatever u said use 5mg or just a slow thing then 2.5mg
10mg is usually recommended for those whose hair is already bald and did not take care at the initial stages

@77jnthn very important - oral Minox has much more Side effects than topical

The dosage of oral minoxidil (2.5 mg or 5 mg) really depends on the individual situation. I recommend that you do a cardiological evaluation beforehand AND 3 MONTHS After you started treatment, especially an echocardiogram of the pericardium. There’s a rare side effect called pericardial effusion (fluid around the heart). In general, you should be aware of potential side effects like bloating (fluid retention/edema). Microdosing (low-dose oral minoxidil) has been studied. One study found that low doses can be effective and well-tolerated. (For example, a 2020 study by Suchonwanit et al. showed positive outcomes with low-dose regimens.) Let me know if you need more details!
