@kjsbdfiusdf @xefo i understand you have spoken on this before, should i add it to my diet which is low in fruit and veg, is it good for you because vitamins or just as bad as soda like they say nowadays

Yes, bro. As long as it isn't from concentrate, flouridated water, and make sure there's no pulp.

Orange juice is more like sweets. The healthy variant is eating an orange and drinking water. But keep in mind living „perfectly“ healthy will be 0 fun in life and what would be the point of That. And not having fun isn’t healthy either. So it’s better than soda ofc but yeah don’t drink it as water. A lot of calories

not at all. OJ is a fructose, you need fructose/sucrose. Match ur protein intake with your sugar intake 1:1.

He was asking if it’s healthy. Yes sugar increases insulin but that is not healthy. Is it good for bodybuilding? Yeah but is body building healthy ? No. OJ is mostly empty calories just like soda. Some added vitamins but mostly just short chained (the shortest chain) carbohydrate which are not healthy.

Also why would you need to match sacharose and protein 1:1? First time I hear that and it’s definitely not true

one must always balance protein with sugar (fruit being the
best) because protein alone lowers blood sugar and you need the sugar
to better metabolize the protein. So when one eats protein, you eat
sugar with it: about 1:1 fruit to meat, and about 2:1 fruit to cheese.

The only juice you should be taking is the one you squeeze yourself or you buy from one of this machines that will squeeze it for you, and drink it asap and around your workouts. I drank 700ml of just squeezed orange juice yesterday just before gym.
If you are going to buy one of those bottled juices then just drink plain water instead.

My understanding is that sugar spikes insulin and insulin shuttles nutrients (proteins) better into the cells.
Also mixing sugars with proteins will reduce the insulin spike, which is bad if too high, for most people.
You don't mix sugar and fats because you then shuttle the fat into the fat cells instead of using it for fuel, and nowdays every single processed thing you buy in the store is full of carbs+fats.

i squeeze my own oj or I just eat a load of oranges
