Everyone knows squinting, aside from frauding, helps you see better. A more small and concentrated field of vision is better to see. Orbital decompression pushes the eye inwards. Has anyone done it before and had their vision changed?

@kota had it and wrote that

0,5% risk of double vision / strabismus and 1 in 20.000 risk of blindness if you do orbital decompression with Taban, according to himself. Personally I had double vision for a couple of days post op and then it cleared up.

I was thinking it will make your vision better since orbital decompression would be like a permanent squint. Not speaking of complications.

It wouldnt change your field of vision, or anything about the internal parts of your eye. Of course the trauma to the eye can cause vision impairment or double vision but that is usually temporary. There is no potential benefit to your eyesight from the surgery like a permanent squint
