For the past year I have been going to the orthodontist for my braces and have been working pretty close with him throughout the entire process.

I even convinced him to get me palatal expander instead of extracting, and I've asked him about employing various appliances, most of which he has denied.

Around 8 months ago asked him how feasible something like a BSSO + Genio would be in my case and he had whole talk with me about how that was not medically necessary and very costly (which is fair :feelsthink:).

Today, during my monthly checkup he asked me if I knew about looksmaxxing, and more specifically who Clavicular is. In my head I was caging, but I outwardly denied any knowledge of the whole thing and just acted clueless.

Keep in my mind this guy is like a 55-year-old middle aged orthodontist :feelskek:

I'm pretty sure "looksmaxxing" is currently being blasted in the mainstream media which is probably not a good thing.

when i was like 13 i had twin blocks which basically is a mouthpiece you wear where one block slides infront of the other to bring the jaw forward
if i didn’t have that i’d probably be a beyond recessed ltn

In a similar vein, I feel bad for the regular people who have had their surgery results posted, that are now forever used by autists on forums.
