Ortho wants to remove my wisdom teeth. Advice?

Title says it all. Ive been neglecting my teeth my entire life. Started to try to make myself look better since last year and started focusing on my teeth. Have one more cavity to fill. However, my Ortho ( Who is giving me Damon Braces ) is telling me that i would need to remove my wisdom teeth. I still have to make an appointment with the Ortho Surgeon for MSE or another Palate expander. But he stated he probably would need to extract the Bottom ones. What should i do? Should i accept the extractions? I heard from others stating that removing any teeth would cause damage to the face. But i plan on getting a palate expander. ( My ortho is also suggesting that he might need to get me a lower palate expander. )

if you need a bottom palate expander too i think focusing on keeping your teeth shouldn't your main priority.

keeping wisdom teeth is usefull but barely matters if you need to expand you palate and lower palate this much.

take it out and hope for the best

Ive had teeth removed and it hasn't effected my face shape in any way besides making it less puffy id say you should be fine and if anything you'd have an improvement to your facial structure

Will make no difference, surgeon generally remove them for plastic surgery

Thank you. And its because i have a tooth on the bottom left thats growing outwards. So i think he wants to make space for it.

this is off topic but did you just ask for the x-rays? how did you get them because my ortho never shows them to me

If your wisdoms are impacted or crowding your lower arch it’s usually smarter to yank them, especially if you’re going the MSE route. Trying to save them just to be based is how you end up with a messed-up occlusion and side profile that sags harder than your willpower on a cut JFL

He gave them to me because i need to talk to an Ortho Surgeon regarding MSE. I plan on getting braces and MSE sort of at the same time

doesn't matter, jordan has his teeths pulled out too, if you're a chad, or subhuman , removing teeths won't change anything
