Hi everyone,
I’m planning to get braces soon and would love some feedback or insight from anyone with experience or professional knowledge.
My orthodontist is offering to do the treatment for free, so I really want to make the most of this opportunity — especially since I’m still in puberty and my facial and dental development aren’t finished yet.
I’m mainly wondering whether additional procedures like a palate expander, lip bumper/lip pillow, or anything else might be necessary or beneficial for me — or if braces alone would likely be enough.
Of course, I’ll be following up with my orthodontist for their professional recommendation, but I’d like to go in with a bit more understanding of what might apply to my case.
I don't think my palate is too narrow or I have obvious recession, I'd rather just prefer an insight into what procedure completely to avoid and which ones to ask for to potentially ascend me.
