Orthodontics treatment

I’m 16 and have a slight overbite and crooked teeth and my ortho just put me on a plan for a expander, Invisalign, and tongue posture therapy which seems alright to me, but I also got told I’m going to need extractions for these teeth will this recess or hurt my asthetics or health is any way.

bro ur totally fine, premolar extractions are the ones that ruin maxilla and recede u but looking at ur scan those top 4 circled are literally wisdom teeth coming in completely crooked and impacted, pulling those wont ruin ur aesthetic at all it actually saves ur health so u dont get cysts or rot ur rear molars. that bottom one is an impacted extra premolar/canine buried in bone which is a super weird impaction so taking it out is standard or it'll screw up ur roots. since ur ortho is literally expanding ur palate instead of pulling main premolars to mask a recession ur actually in good hands, just get the wisdoms and impacted tooth pulled like they asked so u dont get infections down the road and let the expander do its thing for maxilla gains.
