An orthodontist told me I need treatment for several issues. I have a missing tooth (#12 or #13) and will likely need dental implants. My dental midline is shifted and my teeth need to be moved to one side to correct my bite. I need three tooth extractions. They also said I have tongue thrust or improper tongue posture because my tongue constantly pushes against my teeth. I was told I may have bimaxillary protrusion (or something similar).
Estimated price is $6800.
Any thoughts? Should I get a second opinion? Will my face look better after this treatment plan or should I be worried about something. I’m only doing this to fix my teeth and improve my look. So if this can potentially worsen my looks, I won’t do it.
