He said he would extract two lower teeth and then use the space to move my teeth back and then I would get lower jaw surgery to move my jaw forward.

I've always heard that extractions are really bad and should be avoided. But in my case since there is no room is it such a bad idea?

I know wisdom teeth getting taken out can ruin your jaw. Im sure it will impact your jaw

I already had my wisdom teeth extracted 7 years ago, these would be additional extractions.

i wouldn't do it unless you have to. weight your options.

In my opinion, You should always try to avoid extractions.

Ive gotten consults where extractions were the only proposed option, and then I’ve also gotten consults with more knowledgeable surgeons like @Sergio-OMS who gave me a number of possible options he would likely offer if I was his patient, including non-extraction option(s).

Try to get as much opinions as you can.

Barrett had 8 extractions JFL
How do we know this is true? Also regardless of his isolated case many people report tragic changes in their faces (I'm one of them).

I compare my jaw and maxilla to those of people related to me and I can see clear differences. Also my jaw got worse after extractions and have pics but just didn't want to post it 15-19.

Also OP you already have had 4 teeth and they still even want to take out more teeth and push it further backwards? Wtf? In what circumstances did they suggest jaw surgery? Was it because you talked about it or by themselves? Regardless of any case, the fact that they do acknowledge that you would get jaw surgery afterwards is because they do know it's going to affect your facial structure. Knowing how delusional they are combined with the fact they admit it, I'd expect the worse.

I would never do it. How likely is it that you will even have jaw surgery anyway? Lol it's not that simple.

Find another orthokike

Punch that disgusting kike in his face and tell him to go eat some foreskins

Less teeth= less expansion

The reason he wants to remove the teeth is to make room for a bsso. They have to make things worse by moving it back before they can make it better with a bsso.

Jew dentist op needs a new dentist

I've seen a lot of orthodontist/dentists and this is the only one that agrees with me that I need jaw surgery to fix my lower third. If I don't go with this orthodontist I probably won't be able to get surgery. So it's either extractions with a bsso or a chin implant.

Keep in mind I have a functional issue too because my airway is narrow.

Extractions in the lower can reduce the space for the tongue and affect the width of your smile. I’m sure you can still have surgery without extractions, although maybe it will be a double jaw surgery with genioplasty.

I think you should consult with your surgeon before the extractions are done.

dont do it unless he wants to get your wisdom teeth extracted, in that case it won't change anything
