What it does:
Orthognathic surgery also known as corrective jaw surgery is a surgery, mostly used by dentists/Orthodontists to fix issues with your bite, caused by a misplaced mandible or a too long/too short mandible.

It works by making cuts in the mandible to move them into the correct position. Sometimes bone will be added or taken away. After the cuts are made, the surgeon will use screws and/or plates to hold everything in place.
