I’m getting surgery to push both my mandible and maxilla forward mainly for medical reasons (sleep apnea in future and to correct my open bite) but I’d like to know what aesthetic benefits I’d receive from it and is there anything to tell my orthodontist so that my looks won’t get worse?

Don't get any less than 10mm pogonion

You want as much advancement as safely possible to look aesthetic

Talk to your maxillofacial surgeon not your ortho

Get your surgery plan double checked by other surgeons by consulting them
