Osgood schlatter question?

I have osgood schlatter but its more severe in my left leg like a lot more why is this and will it affect how i grow at all?

One of my friends has it and he stopped growing with like 13 he’s 16 now and still same height now it can be because of so good Schalter but I’m not sure maybe it’s his genetics

Im 14 rn the pain was unbearable like a couple months ago but i quit basketball my predicted height is 6’1
