Osteogenesis

Been a minute since I posted a thread so I thought I'd make one. This process is lwk used in TikTok bullshit reasoning for how Bonesmashing works, I think Bonesmashing works it worked for me anyway I'ma start the article now. Also my tiktok name is osteogenesis.

Osteogenesis is the biological process where new bone is formed in the body which occurs during early development, growth, and throughout life as bone repairs and remodels itself. Since bones can adapt and remodel itself, our community believes that constant force could reshape bones. I generally believe this to be true. There are two main types of osteogenesis- intramembranous ossification and endochondral ossification. (AI Slop) Intramembranous ossification happens when bone develops directly from sheets of mesenchymal connective tissue, which is how flat bones like those in the skull are formed. Endochondral ossification, on the other hand, involves a cartilage model that is gradually replaced by bone, which is how most long bones, such as the femur, develop. (Back to me) This process is regulated by these specialized cells which include osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and osteocytes (also refer back to bonesmashing) (AI Slop) Osteoblasts are responsible for building new bone by producing the bone matrix, while osteoclasts break down old or damaged bone tissue, allowing for continuous renewal. Osteocytes help maintain bone structure and communicate signals for repair. Osteogenesis is essential not only for growth but also for maintaining bone strength and mineral balance in the body.
