Now 33, he hasn’t worked for three years and is suffering from severe depression

Our son has been losing his hair since he was 16. In his twenties, he underwent (unbeknown to us) several botched hair transplants. He was earning good money as a qualified professional, so able to afford the expensive procedures. Now he is 33, has not worked for three years, and is suffering from severe depression.

He says he has scars and they are carcinogenic if exposed to sunlight. He wears a cap all the time. He is living at home now and has spent all his money. He is behaving like a teenager and not contributing financially to the household.

If persistently asked, he will wash up and put away the shopping. He has isolated himself and has nervous habits of talking to himself, clicking his fingers and laughing to himself.

He says he only has “half a head”. The transplanted hair is growing in the front, but the damage and scarring is at the back of his head. Our son says this hair loss has ruined his life. He cannot countenance ever having a family because of the “bald” gene.

He will not agree to any form of counselling and it breaks our hearts to see our creative, caring son so aimless and miserable. His anger has left him lonely and all his friends have moved on with relationships, family, etc. He seems dependent on coffee and social media. We are lucky at least that he hasn’t an alcohol dependency.

We, his parents, are hoping you can guide us in some way? How can we persuade him to get help? Where can we get help?

Under huge pressure, he agreed to see our sympathetic GP – but then backed out of that. We would have paid the fee for a consultation at an expert Hair Clinic, but he says there is nothing they could say that he doesn’t know already.

He says he is waiting for better technology for hair transplanting in about five years time!

Brutal, normie goes bald and become a rotting incel

It seems like it's more about the scarring than the baldness.

Should just wear a hairpiece

Or can he not do that because of the scarring?

Did you ever go bald? I assume you didn't.
It's always the guys with hair that give solutions to baldcels as if they even experienced the toll it has on your mental health.

i suffered a lot of hair thining at certain part of scalp when i was in severe stress because of academic reasons , when I came out of it , i really start caring about my hair , and when they got strong they also cover the thining part.

this is why all these dumb motherfuckers should have gotten blood tests and hopped on fin once their dick stopped growing instead of getting fucking transplants as your first defense jfl

this type of BE A MAN GO BALD BR0 stuff is actual "toxic masculinity". shaming men for self improving because "that's gay". i saw it all the time in school, if you study you're "gay" because "that's what girls do".

Brutal. Taking fin at 16yo isn't advised so you are in a fucked up situation.

Losing hair in your late twenties or later, is a whole different ball-game than losing it in your teens or early twenties.

It’s like being born 6-5 and wide framed and then shrinking yourself to 5-3 with birthing hips.

Well I had major hairloss, and now wear a hair system.

It was an incredibly easy fix tbh, I kind of cringe at these defeatist articles when the solution takes 2 hours.

Aren't you afraid women would notice?

No, it's virtually impossible to notice.

I have my natural hairline, the hair system is like 1 inch behind.

Such an easy fix , I'm actually happy I had hairloss, now I have model tier hair, when I used to originally have shitty thick hair that was impossible to style.

Damn good improvement.
What do you think to do if you enter a LTR tho? If you want to have a LTR of course.

I go to a clinic so it's like a normal hair appointment every month, so it's easy to hide.

If it's like a marriage LTR then probably just tell her, as long as it looks good people will agree with anything.

Mmm I'm skeptical, I think that if you tell her she is gonna feel repulsed tbh just like telling a woman that you had plastic surgery with the additional problem that you have to manage this problem every month.

Does this look like repulsion to you? (21:40) All women I have met respect a guy who fixes his problems tbh, it's a conversation topic tbh.

They don't hate men who improve themselves but they hate men who cheat their genetics for sure.
