One study, the first of its kind, examined the relationship between human sperm health and internet-connected laptops utilizing Wi-Fi. This form of internet connectivity is wildly popular, of course, with many chain restaurants and coffee shops offering the service for free around the clock.
After just 4 hours of using a Wi-Fi connected laptop, a significant decrease in the quality of sperm was observed. It was previously found that laptops can damage sperm health through excessive heat in as little as 10 minutes, but the relationship between Wi-Fi and infertility was not examined.
Researchers used temperature sensors on the scrotums of the 29 men, then placed the laptop computers on their laps. It did not take long for the temperature to rise to levels that are known to damage sperm production. After 10 to 15 minutes of laptop use, the damage was observed. This is alarming, as countless laptop users often place the laptop on their laps for hours at a time.
When testicles heat up too much, sperm production suffers. Optimally, they should remain a degree or two below body temperature. This is especially important if you are trying to conceive a child. Laptop use heats up testes at a rate of 2.5 Celsius per hour. This means that hours of daily use can really start wreaking havoc on the testicles, and inhibit sperm production to a very large degree.
Wi-Fi radiation may be posing more of a threat to your health than previously thought. In fact given new findings that so-called “low dose” ionizing radiation used in x-ray mammography has been to be 400% more damaging to your cells than “high dose” radiation associated with atomic bomb radiation, low dose radiation Wi-Fi may be a little known threat to your health.
It is quite simple to avoid the adverse thermal effects presented by laptops. Avoid placing it on your lap, use a nearby table, or place a firm object between your lap and the laptop itself. But what about protecting yourself from low dose Wi-Fi radiation? After all, you can’t exactly avoid internet connectivity forever. Outside of turning off your Wi-Fi when not in use.
The steps are quite the same for every router model. Make sure to turn the WiFi off only, not your Internet, otherwise you will have no Internet and you will have no way to access your router and turn the WiFi on.

Personal advice
Just place your laptop 1ft away from your body, on a desk. That will be enough to avoid EMF from your machine. Plug a keyboard if you want to avoid radiation on your hands. If you are going to use Ethernet, turn your WiFi off, otherwise get away from your router. This is how you can turn your WiFi off.The steps are quite the same for every router model. Make sure to turn the WiFi off only, not your Internet, otherwise you will have no Internet and you will have no way to access your router and turn the WiFi on.
