I have an overbite and my upper jaw/maxillary arch seems quite narrow. I want to improve my bite and maxillary width without surgery.
What non-surgical treatment options are available for this? Would something like MARPE, orthodontic expansion, or other appliances be appropriate?
I'm mainly interested in whether it is possible to actually widen the upper jaw rather than just tipping/moving the teeth.
I'm also wondering if treating the overbite and the narrow maxilla together would make more sense.
I'm14 years old. What would you guys recommend I ask an orthodontist about?
