Overbite or Recession?

Hello. I've been looking into getting braces to fix my overbite and im unsure if it's a good decision. People say it could cause jaw/maxilla recession. What should i do lol

Braces just move your teeth. Could only give the illusion of recession if your teeth are making your midface stick out. If you have unaligned teeth then braces/invisalign is always a looksmax, not looksmin.

Theyre a kind of crowded, especially the ones on my mandible.

My lower teeth are uneven/unaligned and I have an overbite, so im hoping braces will actually balance things out rather than make anything look worse. I guess i'll see

you got this bro. based to be considering braces fr. that overbite can totally impact your facial symmetry so it's def worth looking into tbfh. just do ur research and find a good orthodontist who'll work with you. youll look way better once u fix that up ngl
