I’m currently using marpe and headgear, but i just thought abt smth. If my headgear pushes just my maxilla won’t i get an overbite? Also does headgear have any downsides facial wise? And if it actually gives overbite is it worth it?

The bottom jaw follows don't worry

Headgear doesnt work lmao

Mms measured by my dentist
Definetely unlikely
The max that studies show is 2-3mm in total and thats for early peripubertal children (treatment completed at 10-12 years)
Multiple mm not only outcompetes the total difference in other pubertal teens but would even be unusual for prepubertal patients if not after a therapy time of 1.5 years+

I have been using headgear unconsistently for 2+ years. I started using headgear when i was still a kid and didn’t even start puberty, i didn’t even have pubes. And now i’m in stage 2 of puberty with a bone age younger 2 gears than my actual age (14) i still have baby teeth
