notice how our days have pagan god names too

sunday, monday, thursday, wednesday to name a few

wednesday refers to wodens day(aka the odin for anglos), thursday is thor etc

I think paganism is similar to Vedic Hinduism in that regard even though paganism is often used as a catch all term for all non-monotheistic western religion. Very focused on the cycles of life and cosmology maybe it’s a bias since I was brought up as such but it made more sense to me than a paternal anthropomorphic god figure.

There sure are a lot of similarities. I think that the concept of natural energy in particular is quite universal among non-monotheistic religions.

The Hindus refer to it as prana, the Chinese as chi, the Japanese as reiki, the Germans as vril etc.
It’s pretty fascinating how all these seemingly different cultures and spiritual traditions converge on the idea of a vital energy that connects us to the universe.
