palatal expander + tongue posture

i got a palatal expander applied which i was actively turning for 28 days in november 2025 (the keyhole is waxed up now, by my ortho)
before getting it applied i kind of naturally held a mewing posture + nasal breathing

but i realised after getting it applied that i actually can't really mew as the appliance is in the way

i still do nose-breath the vast majority of the time but i was wondering what i should do with my tongue posture until i get my expander removed?

You could still try to mew altough it will en uncomfortable and you will get imprints on your tounge. Just do what feels natural for you tho bhai (Solution)

yeah haha i would have to push it in above the appliance from the back, i'm trying it right now it's pretty uncomfortable and i don't know if it's proper mewing but i could give it a try. (with the bottom of the tongue touching the top of the appliance)
