Palate expander effects besides expanding

Is there any different like kind of side effects to getting a palate expander besides the expansion i’m not too educated on it but i heard your midface gets wider? not sure, and is there any other?

a diastema (middle tooth gap)
alar base of the nose will be widened
mouth will be widened
zygos widened/midface widened

for both, it can widen the nose a bit, widen lips and smile, widen the midface and zygos, increase airway size. Sarpe can create a tooth gap

i assume your getting marpe since sarpe is surgically assisted. Did they mention surgery?

i have a consultation with a ortho in a week but also how do i qualify for one btw??

Common age for sarpe is 15. To qualify for either palate expansions you need to either have a narrow palate/maxilla, airway issues, sleep apnea, etc. to qualify for sarpe, you need your maxilla to be fused, and for marpe, your palate has to be unfused
