Palate expander,orthodontic and orthotropics

I am seeing my dentist tomorrow and was wondering if i should see if i could get a palate expander. If so how can i convince him to do it since he will probably avoid since my palate is not extremely small. From what i have seen on the site it seems like a good looksmax. (I will get state sanctioned) Add any other looksmaxes Orthodontic and orthotropic in the thread
