you look above the age of 12 so no, a palate expander (typical plastic ortho expander) wont change your maxillary expansion, it only moves out soft tissues and your teeth, creating a 15-20 degree inclination on your teeth post "expansion", which you do NOT want. Your main issue is your lower third anyways, not the midface. focus on your jaw width and consider marpe if you have the funds alongside getting orthognathic surgery for that lower third ascension. mark as solution n rep me if this helped
