I think im too late for palate expanders to change my bones. Orthodontist on reddit said they fuse at 14 and will only move the teeth

Doubt it. I expanded mine at the age of 22; I feel that in your 20's most of your bones are still malleable enough for something like palate expansion with enough force, but orthos will just decline mostly anyone not a teenager

The mid palatal sutures practically never fuse.
That's why acromegaly patients in their 40s have super wide spaced eyes and gaps between their teeth.

And that's mere growth, no forceful mechanical loads.

That's bullshit. Expanders work on most adults aswell. It just takes longer to separate the suture
