Yo guys I (newly 17) going to the dentist soon and when i was making the appointment it asked my questions about my concerns with my smile and i said i want to have a 10 tooth smile instead of a 6 or 8, i also mentioned that i have trouble breathing at night, i rlly dont have that much trouble breathing but i put that in hopes. this desntist office also seems like its goal is to improve smile. I'm trying to get a palate expander so what would be good things to tell them in person, in an attempt to see an orthodontist and get and expander, also what's a good expander to get i heard there's 3 way ones and such. i know they don't ask you to choose but i was hoping someone on here knows what the best one to request for is. Also, does expander cause you to look recessed. even if it didn't improve my facial esthetics i still need one for palate width in general cause its hard to mew, my tongue has to squeeze to fit inside palate. i am also not getting any teeth removed no matter what casue im not gonna get cooked.

(i think they're going to take x rays too)

anyways lmk thanks im fairly new to orthodontics.

pretty sure you won't get recessed as the aim is to make the maxilla more outward
