Attachment style has been found in meta analysis studies to be the most predictive variable of mental health in adulthood, as well as quality of relationships, academic achieve, financial success, career success, and overall happiness. (google scholar and wikipedia it for more info). it is so predictive that researchers were able to predict children's future in these areas by age 3 just by knowing their attachment style.
