Parents are genuinely the biggest saboteurs in looksmaxing

Finally in the process of talking to like 20 different ortho's, surgeons, and ent's, to get some surgeries done. But i'm still 17 so my mom or dad is always in those appointments. I am literally on the cusp of getting mse to fix the sleep apnea i have, and larped to make seem worse, but as soon as they mention that it involves sticking poles up my palate to anchor the mse, and my mom starts to make disgusted noises or faces, the ortho genuinely shuts down and starts to say well maybe its not needed, I don't have that much crowding, etc. Like fuck this mf was ready to put the mse in that day pretty much and my mom ruins it. I know ts can not just be me. This same shit has happened any time I bring up other surgeries to her or in front of another ortho/surgeon. This all also applies to parents in general getting freaked out by "research" chemicals. My mom went crazy when she found out i bought mk (yes i know I was retarted for thinking it would do shit) and I had to lie my ass off.

BRO I HAVE SO MUCH, I literally try to explain everything, but she sees it as just as invasive as bimax. Largely because she doesn't understand it. But the worst part is that when this specific situation happened i wasn't talking to an ortho, but they started to say that because I don't have that significant crowding (I still do have crowding tho) that if we make my bite wider there will be gaps between my teeth. LIKE GOD WITH ONE MANNERISM SHE SHUT IT ALL DOWN. I am genuinely calling my ortho on my own tho, so I can bypass the appointment this time, and hopefully just skip to the aprt where she just signs for it.

The ortho will literally check the bone movement every appointment, its not invasive. tell her theres no risks and show studies ig? tell her it'll barely change your face and you can literally suffer by not getting this.

lol no way im also 17 and have the same experience but with bimax.
I have MSE planned but have to fix some TMJ issues first. Everytime my ortho mentions bimax to better my side profile my mom makes a disgusted face and starts rambling on about the "traumatic" post op and how it alr looks good enough

the method is just do bad shi your whole life to desensitize them so when shi happen they let it go takes a long time tho thia worked so well for me that my mom didnt even take my roids and peptides and pharma

Same, my grandma ha the surgery even, and my mom is like fear mongering me saying it was the worst thing ever for my grandma. And then I asked my grandma and she said it was worth anything in the world going through it because it genuinely fixed so many things...
