My parents told me its the "Pure veg hindu diet" and were convinced by a bunch of skinny fat uncles that I shouldn't eat meat JFL. They believed that cows were divine creatures and that eating meat was a sin. I feel like not eating meat really fucked up my body growing up

As a Lankan, my parents (despite my mom being a strict vegetarian ) always made sure we ate meat growing up. The only exception was beef. But even then my dad would get us ham/cheeseburgers occasionally

Beef steaks taste great ngl. But I'm avoiding beef cos I'm religious. Pork tastes great too but pigs are filthy animals so I feel guilty eating pork.
