Because i ascended so late they think im gay or virgin etc. Mother said she already found a nice girl and is only waiting for my GO.

I thought this shit is a meme coming from india or some arab countries but jfl its real, even in germany.

Jfl its over for my status in my family

What do? I dont even want to marry but maybe i could get a girl who cooks, cleans etc while i date other Girls

then dont fucking marry. chase girls. if you want a Gf who cooks get a gf who cooks. arranged marriage fck off. you dont get to choose who you bang your next couple of years?

It is real in almost every country. Even in europe this still exist in village comunities in the countryside. Arranged mariages can sometimes work better then ones where you have chosen your own partner

Is it more common in Asia and Africa than Europe however?

Ofcourse it is. Asia and Africa are poorer more agricultural and less affected by the modern world. It is also a bit diffrent then how it is in Europe. There they can get really forced to marry someone they dont want. In Europe they cant the worst thing that can happen is that they feel pressured to marying their partner even if they dont really want it. Altough that happens but is usally not a problem since the village comunities have more traditional gender roles and are less affected by the ideologies of the modern world like femminism and liberalism.

I agree to a large extent I think the west is much more liberated sexually and in terms of relationships so things such as arranged marriages are very taboo and to be honest they’re only really common among south Asians at least in the UK like amongst Pakistanis and Indians but even then it’s starting to phase out and like they want to make it illegal as well in the UK.

You make a good point though I mean historically the elites of Europe had arranged marriages often with their cousins so it’s not as if it’s something that’s completely alien to Europe.

Feminism I think definitely is very anti a range marriage because it is centred around women having a choice in the entirety of their lives so you’re definitely right.

It's worth it if she is your looksmatch.
Nothing better than having your parents set you up with a woman rather than of going through the struggle of dating/pursuing a woman.
