I totally don't think Paris has that much of a modern style. I would say Rotterdam has a modern style:

The only parts of central Paris that are really modernized are La Défense and the surrounding area of Nanterre tbh

These 3 are the most americucked ones in Europe

These developments are the direct product of irreversible damage due to WWII. It's a similar case in Asia; Beijing still has quite a bit of it's ancient hutongs left, while Seoul and Tokyo are almost virtually devoid of their traditional architecture.
