when im playing fortnite my left shift either doesnt register or it registers like im holding it when i dont press it

its like i cant pull out my floor bind sometimes and then sometimes mid gunfight my floor bind keeps activating its so annoying

i dont have any macros and my keyboard is not broken i think its never happened before

i already checked sticky keys and yeah it works perfect outside of fortnite its so weird

all of my fn settings are fine i checked everything ingame

its my floor bind that ive been using for 5 years im not changing my bind id rather buy a new pc and keyboard than change my binds

buy another keyboard or remap it to caps lock

yeah so your keyboard controller or the whole keyboard itself is giving up, find a cheap one and try if it persists. if it persists, reinstall drivers

If its mechanical you can just pull the key off and clean it with a brush

likely not, shouldnt be related to your fortnite settings because you mentioned it happened outside fortnite. im 99% confident it's your keyboard as many start giving up even months in. get like a cheap keyboard to test and if the problem vanishes you know that was the issue

ill just buy a new keyboard ive had this one for a few years but usually they last forever its a steelseries apex pro tkl

well... everything related to electronics is mostly like taking part of the silicon lottery (google it up), sometimes you get lucky and get a keyboard that lasts for years (like my corsair keyboard) and sometimes you get the worst of it and a keyboard that starts tweaking. so yeah, try out a new keyboard and mention me in an update post
